Worship is the heart of our life together and empowers us to care for one another, grow in faith and serve others. Our core value of OPEN Table is lived out through the practice of passionate worship. We seek to create worship experiences that are engaging, inviting, meaningful and alive. Each Sunday we gather to respond to God’s love and grace, pray, be nurtured in mind and spirit, share around the Lord’s Table, hear God’s word proclaimed, and be transformed into the people God calls us to be.

We offer three different services, each designed to welcome all into the presence of God in unique ways through proclaiming God’s word, open communion, a message and a variety of music. You will experience everything from ancient folk songs and traditional hymns to contemporary praise music, depending upon the message and the hour.

Our 8:15am service is an intimate gathering of those who prefer traditional worship. You will encounter God through prayer, scripture, a sermon, familiar hymns accompanied by an organist and Holy Communion.

The 9:00am service is our most casual worship experience, where communion and offering are celebrated by the gathered community walking forward to give and receive.  Our accomplished praise band leads a joyful mix of modern praise choruses, contemporary Christian songs and ancient hymns set to modern music.

At the 11:00am service we sing both traditional and modern hymns of faith. Communion is served in the pews. Our Chancel Choir offers choral anthems from September to June. Our Bell Choir plays several times each year, and other musicians and ensembles periodically offer their gifts in worship.

Children (ages 3 years through 1st grade) experience our Children Worship and Wonder during both the 9:00 and 11:00am services.  They come with their parents to the beginning of the service, then depart together to attend this worship experience designed just for them in our Children Worship and Wonder space.

Come encounter God anew in worship at First Christian.
