  • Our Angel Tree

    CONTACT: Jennifer Humphrey jhumphrey@fccedmond.org 405.341.3544

This year, First Christian Church and the Child Care Center have joined together to provide Christmas Blessings to some of our Center and Church families through our Angel Tree. There is a Christmas tree set up in the main Child Care Center hallway decorated with many different colored Angels. The angels will have suggested gifts written on them. If you are financially able, please join with us in blessing those among us in need this season. You may take as many Angels as you would like. Gift donations will need to be delivered to the Child Care Center by Friday, Dec. 15. You do not need to wrap the gifts, however, whether you wrap them or not, please be sure to return the angel with the gift to help us in preparing to bless the families. Financial contributions are welcome.

  • Cookies Needed for Child Care Center Christmas Program

    CONTACT: Robbi Kinnaird robbi@kinnaird.com 405.340.2427

The Child Care Center Christmas Program is Thursday, December 14 at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. If you have never attended this event, it is amazing! Probably the largest attendance had at First Christian Church. The children sing, dance and share the message of Christmas with their families and friends.

Immediately following this special performance is a Cookies and Milk reception and even a visit from ol’ St. Nick himself. As members of First Christian Church, we have assisted with the reception by setting up and providing cookies. We need your help providing delicious cookies, greeting and serving! If you would be able to provide 2 to 3 dozen cookies and/or help set up, greet and serve, please email or call Robbi (above). Please bring cookies to the kitchen no later than the afternoon of the 14th. Mark items with CCC Program and note if nuts are in your cookies.

  • We Need YOU at Breakfast on Boulevard!

    CONTACT: Judy Griffis 405.348.1443

Breakfast on Boulevard (BOB), a ministry of First Christian Church, serves breakfast and offers a sack lunch each weekday morning to those in our community in need. This ministry is possible only through the generous support and time given by its volunteers. Currently, BOB is experiencing record numbers and is in need of additional volunteers! The hours are early, but the reward is great. Please contact Judy Griffis today and answer this call to serve.

  • Children's Events

    CONTACT: Jennifer Humphrey jhumphrey@fccedmond.org 405.341.3544

Ages 3 -5 grade, join us each Sunday morning at 10am in the Children’s Education Building for Sunday school. Each Wednesday evening, beginning January 17, 2018, come to UNITE from 5-7:30pm!

    - The Children’s Christmas Musical – Sunday, December 10 at 6:30pm. Lindsey and her friends are excited because the local T.V. station is having a contest for “The Biggest, Brightest, Christmas Show Ever”, and they are entered to win! They’ve planned a great show to impress the secret judge. However, all goes well until BAM, all the lights go off! It is in the quiet of a small shining star that they are reminded that Jesus is the true Light of Christmas.  Join the children of First Christian as they share the wonderful musical, “An Unplugged Christmas” by Susie Williams and Luke Gambill. A reception will follow.

    - Children’s Christmas Eve Service –Sunday, December 24 at 5:30pm. This abbreviated, family-oriented worship service is a narrative re-telling of the birth of Jesus with the help of our children. Children ages 3 through 2nd grade may select a costume at 5pm and participate in the Nativity story. (No nursery provided on Christmas Eve)

“The light in a child’s eyes is all it takes to make Christmas a magical time of the year!”
